Casey is a lovely DMH cream coloured neutered male cat from Black Gold Pound. He is a sweet and affectionate two year-old. Casey is a very loving cat. He loves to have his belly rubbed and he likes to play with his different toys. He loves to use the scratching posts in his foster home and to sleep on his cat trees or with his foster dad. Casey likes to follow you around the house. When his foster dad is in one room, Casey likes to be with him. He is loyal like a dog. While this handsome, cream-coloured cat loves people, he's a little shy around other pets and prefers to be the only cat in the household. Casey has great character, lots of love to give, and would make his companion very happy! Anyone would fall in love with Casey!

Ebenezer, an approximately two year old male,  showed up as a stray at an acreage in the cold weather of December and moved into the barn with the resident cats.  Considering that he was not neutered at the time, he was quite submissive with them and there were few altercations as he settled in.  He was very timid of people initially but he has since become more trusting and is starting to love being petted and fussed over.  He also seems to be very appreciative of having a warm building to live in and a regular food supply, and he doesn't show much interest in going back out into the cold.  He has now been neutered and will soon be vaccinated and ready for adoption.  Eb should do well as a totally indoor cat and will make a very loving, affectionate lap cat for some lucky adopter.

 Chloe is a very lovely, medium hair, brown tabby with a great disposition. She is loving, sweet and affectionate. She loves attention and is quite playful but also likes to retreat to a quiet, out of the way place when she naps. She has a beautiful silky soft coat that she keeps shiny and clean, purrfect for lots of pets, scratches and rubs which she thoroughly enjoys. She reciprocates the love with purrs, gentle head butts and rubbing against whatever part of your body is closest to her. She likes to be talked to, and chirps a quiet mew. She has a gentle personality. Chloe was brought in to Black Gold Pound with her 8 newborn kittens. The babies have now all been weaned and she has been spayed. Unfortunately Chloe becomes extremely frustrated and has not done well in indoor-only living situations. She seems happiest when she can have access to the outdoors (when the weather is good, of course). We believe that she would be happiest in an indoor/outdoor or heated barn type home where she will be fed, watered, sheltered and receive regular vet care. Please inquire about adopting Chloe if you can provide this type of forever home for a cat.

Smokey is a beautiful grey and white long-haired cat that came to NASAP from Black Gold Pound. Smokey is outgoing and brave and loves to explore his surroundings. He is a happy, easy-going and affectionate cat. He was terribly matted when he came into care and has had a complete lion shave. He was neutered by a previous owner.  He has undergone treatment for a urinary tract infection that was noticed while he was impounded. He has now received a clean bill of health, but he should remain on a urinary tract health diet on the long term. This diet is available at all vet clinics. Smokey is just settling into his foster home so watch this space for updates as we get to know him better.
