ADOPTION PENDING

Romeo is a male tabby with white chest and feet, who was one of a colony of abandoned cats that had been living in the neighborhood of one of NASAP`s supporters. NASAP was able to humanely trap many of them before the colder weather hit. He is approximately three years old, and has now been vaccinated, FIV/Feline leukemia tested, microchipped, neutered and dewormed. He is a strong muscular boy, with telltale signs of having to live life on the street. As you can see from the photo, his ears are permanently damaged from having to fight other cats for food (his hearing is just fine). He had multiple open neck injuries when admitted into NASAP`s care but he has since healed up and is a sweet and affectionate boy who is now loving being back in a home and enjoying all the perks of being an indoor cat. As a result of having to survive outside, he can be pushy and antagonistic with other cats, and does not back down when challenged. He does not mind dogs at all and becomes quite affectionate with them, after the initial introduction period. He has a wonderful vocabulary and is very much a character, and will follow you around the house to supervise and to see if an opportunity might open up where he can get a cheek rub or a neck massage! As I write this he is curled up on my lap, purring away. He loves to play but is also quite content dozing in front of a sunny window watching the birds fly by. He loves being outside on his harness, chewing on grass and battling the bugs and insects, and he is also a good mouser! He would do best being the only cat in the house.
