Taylor and Emily (previously Tiny)

Taylor and Emily (previously Tiny) Image

Dear Pat,

We've had a fantastic few days with Emily (formerly known as Tiny) and Taylor. They get along fabulously with each other - love to play with, groom, and sleep together - and really seem to adore us, too. Taylor purrs and cuddles almost as much as Emily! They are both very, very sweet, and we now can hardly imagine our lives without them. We truly couldn't be happier. They are loving and gentle with us and get along so well together, too. Thanks so much for your help and patience.

Sydney

Sydney Image

We took Sydney home last night. She is doing fantastic. Right now she is asleep on our bed on a big pillow. She was outside today (we only take our cats out when we are out with them - they NEVER roam free). It was a big day for a 9 week old kitten. She stuck very close to myself and my husband but she had a good time anyway. The other 4 in the house are leaving her alone except for the hissing fits they are known to have in passing. The 16 pound cat we have is actually afraid of her!!! I have attached a photo of her in her new surroundings. So far, she is loving everything about living here. I know she missed her siblings last night but we let her sleep on the bed with my husband and there was a litter pan in our ensuite with food and water. I slept out on the couch so my other cats had me to themselves. She is a bundle of love and we are so pleased to have her in our home.

Peyton (now Mia)

Mia is now a gorgeous little woman.  She adapted pretty well to the other cats in the house.  This little girl is quite a character an that's why we love her so luch.  Mia has been a wonderful addition to our family and we cannot imagine living without her!  Here is a photo of her and Oscar, adopted from NASAP four years ago.
Many thanks to all the volunteers at NASAP who work so hard to give a second chance to all those animals!
Sincerely
Nathalie.

Missy

Hey Ash...Missy is sure growing!...she went for her last shot last week...I guess the next step is having her fixed....she is a good little traveller too!...oh and she sure knows what a birdie is...she sits in EVERY window in our home to watch the birds eat seeds I give to them...the neighbours dog (small white dog, 10 yrs old) is her friend..they play with each other now...it took awhile but they both know they are neighbours and they have to see each other once in awhile...so they both gave up the growling and hissing and became friends...
thanks for our little Miss again

Sprocket

Sprocket Image

I adopted Sprocket  nearly two years ago.  He is the most amazing dog and we have formed a very strong bond.  He is a very friendly and agreeable dog who loves everyone - people, other dogs, and even cats.  He is such a happy dog and his happiness is contagious.  I can't imagine life without him.  We've begun to do some off-leash walking - for the longest time I was too scared of losiing him to let him off his leash.  But we have come to trust each other and now we enjoy walks together without the nuisance of a leash (except where needed, like near busy streets).  He has become my best friend.  Thanks again NASAP (and Carol and  Dave) for giving me the opportunity to share my life with such a great dog!

Auzzie (formerly Kees)

Auzzie (formerly Kees) Image

Hello, just in case you were wondering how he has turned out, Auzzie is
about knee-high, with loads of energy.  Every one loves him, I knew they
would.  He still let's me pick him up sometimes and he and the cat are
great buds.
We've taken him camping and to the lake, he had loads of fun on the
beach plays in the water, bites at the waves chases the ducks and barks
at the deer.  He is very very fast, and extremely agile.  He can be off
leash some of the time, he gets on well with dogs he meets providing
every one else is off their leashes.  When he is on his leash it's
another story, stretches as far as it goes and gets pretty vocal.
He's greets everyone at the door and that makes us all feel good. He
stays when told, and down isn't mastered yet, but things are progressing
as fast as we like it.

Sonic (formerly Sailor)

Sonic (formerly Sailor) Image

Hi my kids and I adopted Sailor more than two years ago.  I wanted to update you on him and thank you for taking such good care of him for us.  We changed his name to Sonic as soon as we got home and within two days, he was responding to his new name.  Sonic is very smart and makes us laugh everyday.  He is so funny and affectionate and a very well mannered boy.  He gets along well with his brother Shadow and all of our friends' dogs who come to visit.  We are so glad to have him and he is very happy with us since he has five teenagers, a brother and two cats to play with!!!  I cannot believe that anyone would ever give him away, but we are so blessed that someone did.  Sonic sleeps with whoever is in bed first and even likes to sleep under the blankets when it is cold!  He is a very lucky boy, almost as lucky as we are to have him in our lives.

Thank you again for taking care of him for us, we will forever be grateful.
Janette
PS  here is a picture of Sonic and I out for a walk on the river valley trails in February.
