Adopt Me

MELBA WILL BE HANGING OUT WITH ME AT THE NASAP OFFICE SATURDAY 4 FEBRUARY FROM 10 TILL 4.    COME AND MEET HER THERE.    9827 45 AVENUE.     CALL 780 914 4242 IF YOU NEED DIRECTIONS.

Melba is a sweet puppy with a gentle intelligence and a kind demeanour.    She has won our hearts by her willingness to please and her ability to make friends with everyone and everything.     She enjoys the company of other dogs and plays nicely.   She does not do the puppy mouthing thing with sharp teeth which can be such a nuisance in puppies of her age so she would be a great choice for a family with young children.    She is used to being crated and she is well on the way to being completely  housetrained.    Melba enjoys going for walks and loves to run offleash but doesn't stray far from your side and always has you in her sights.    This is a puppy to be enjoyed for her endearing personality and  her smarts - she is nobody's fool!     If you are looking for a happy puppy to join your family please come and meet Melba.

Adopt Me

Coda is a spayed female husky mix looking for a new home with an active family who can give her the exercise she requires.    She would make a great running partner or can be exercised offleash at the park since her recall is spot on.     She knows many commands and is a well mannered well trained dog who aims to please and who will bond quickly with her caregiver.     She is cratetrained and housetrained.   She gets on fine with other dogs and is good with cats.     Coda travels well in the car and would enjoy being included in outings, camping trips etc.     Coda is a stunning looking dog with a fine temperament - her photo does not do her justice.  Come see for yourself ... call about Coda right away.

Adopt Me

Tigger is a Red Heeler who was in the Pound.    She is a really great dog with one very bad habit.   She jumps up in excitement to greet people and she can jump very high (hence her name!).     She needs a new owner who can work with her to eliminate this behaviour.   She is a typical heeler in that she is super smart and eager to please and she has lots of energy.    She would be awesome at Agility as she is nimble and very agile.   Tigger is good with other dogs, she ignores cats and she adores children.     But with children the jumping up habit can be a problem.    Her temperament is wonderful and she is quiet and well mannered in the house and completely housetrained.    She sleeps quietly all night on the floor at the foot of her foster Mom's bed.     If you like Heelers you will love Tigger.  She would be perfect for somebody with some dog experience who likes long walks and who will appreciate and enjoy Tigger's intelligence.

Update 27 Jan

Tigger is very laid back for a heeler ... mellow mellow in the house but when she wans to play she gives her!    LOVES playing ball.   Does not jump up any more ... the only time she may jump  up is when you kneel down, she feels she should balance on your knees and kiss you to death.   She plays and wrestles with the shih tzu, walks right past the cats and loves for going for car rides.   A great dog.

Adopt Me

Zoe is a three year old spayed female lab collie mix.   She is housetrained, crate trained and generally a well behaved housedog.   She is looking for a new home where she can live as one of the family and be appreciated for the great dog which she is.

Update 29 Jan

We knew Zoe from one year ago when she first came into care (as Jodie).  All her adventures over 2011 only she will know.  Suffice to say she is glad to be back in her foster home having aged considerably.  It took her no time to resettle.   She is testament to the expression that a dog never forgets friends  She is slightly larger than a border collie probably from a lab ancestor, but she has the border collie smarts.  Her quirkly one lop ear makes her distinctive and adds to her charm.  She is quick to pick up on what is expected and works hard to fit in with what is happening.  She plays well with the resident dogs as well as a lively pup who is also fostered here.  She is good with the cats who she pretty mch ignores.  We see them all sleeping together on the same couch or rug.  This sweet girl deserves a long term commitment from someone who wil give her the stable, loving home she is due.

Breed : Lab Collie cross
